Rauf Mammadov: "The main competence will be after the day-off"

The fourth round is going to end in the ShamkirChess 2018 Super Tournament. The Azerbaijani grand master Rauf Mammadov played draw with the Polish grand master Radoslaw Wojztazek.

The Press Service of the ShamkirChess 2018 reports that, Rauf has said followings about the game at the press conference: “It was a bit strange game. I thought that I had some precedence. Wojtazek was trying to play as silent as possible. Consequently, the game ended with a draw. In my opinion, grand masters are playing a bit carefully. It is not a bad result to play draw successively for the four rounds. In some cases, the tiredness show itself, I think. The main competence will be after the day-off.

The strongest players are competing in Shamkir. Therefore, each of them is very attentive. It is very appealing to participate within this kind of staff. Sometimes, it is possible to take a risk while you are thinking the rating. On the other hand, no one has gained more advantage in the parties. Most games are in an equal level. Currently, it is very difficult to say who will be the winner of the tournament. We should have wait for the last rounds”.
