Abdulla Gadimbeyli, the champion of Azerbaijan and the world champion among young chess players, who will participate in "Vugar Gashimov Memorial-2022", declared these words in an interview with the press service of the tournament.
Claiming that the opponents are considerably strong, the grandmaster noted that he will try his best to be among the awardees. He does not asses his chances exclusively in terms of odds. He thinks that he can achieve great results, if he plays the way he wants to.
Stating that the organization of Supertournament became a considerable impetus to the development of the new generation of chess players, Abdulla Gadimbeyli noted that the important victory of Vugar Gashimov in the first European championship of Azerbaijan left a pleasant mark in the memory of every Azerbaijani.
The competition will be organized by the Vugar Hashimov Chess Foundation, supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, sponsored by SOCAR, and will be held at the Fairmont Baku hotel from December 17 to 24.
