The Norwegian grand master is the winner of the 5^th Vugar Hashimov Memorial. The Press Service of the ShamkirChess 2018 Super Tournament reports that, at the final ninth round of the tournament, the World Champion Magnus Carlsen met Chinese Ding Liren in Shamkir. The game ended with a draw. Reaching to 6 scores on his account, Magnus Carlsen is now out of reach.  Hence, the World Champion won the Memorial of Vugar Hashimov for the third time.

We would like to note that, the World Champion is the winner of 2014,2015 and 2018 ShamkirChess Super Tournament.
