The seventh round of the ShamkirChess 2018 Super Tournament in the memory of Vugar Hashimov goes on. The Press Service of the Tournament reports that, the Azerbaijani grand masters Shahriyar Mammadyarov and Teimour Radjabov played a draw in the game.

Teimour Radjabov answered the questions of journalists at the press conference after the game: “We have met Shahriyar for several times in various tournaments. Recently, our games end with a draw. I do not exactly know the number of draws. Because, I am not interested in the statistics. Usually, we prepare against the opponent. We have been playing with Shahriyar in the Azerbaijani National Team for a lone time. We know each other very well. Certainly, sometimes we can be an opponent in some high tournaments, however it is not a hinder for our relationship”.

At the same time, Teimour Radjabov has talked about the emotional reactions of the opponent on not accepting the defeating in some games: “Sometimes, the defeated side cannot accept the result. I do not exactly remember which tournament that was, once my opponent could not help his tears after being defeated by me. That affected me badly. While you are happy when you win, it is the same when you lose the game you can be sad. It does not matter, you should put yourself together in any condition”.
