Sergey Kariakin: "It is not right to compare tournamnets held in Berlin and Shamkir"

ShamkirChess 2018 Super Tournament in the memory of Vugar Hashimov goes on. In the second round, playing draw with the Chinese grand master Ding Liren, the Russian representative Sergey Kariakin has talked about his game: "The party has finished a bit early. We have played nearly 2 houres, and could not determine the winner. Because, there was not any precedence in both sides. I believe that, if we play for 5 or 6 hourse, there will not be any winner, as well. Therefore, we concluded the party early. If the game finishes early, it is good to prepare for the next game".

Sergey Kariakin stated that it is not correct to compare the organization of the Candidates Tournament held in Berlin with the contest which is holding in Shamkir. Foe him, drawbacks were not less in the contest held in Germany: "Shamkir is already native for me. In the Candidates Tournement held in Berlin in March, there were many problems. However, it is not like that in Shamkir. The arrangement of the game hall, catering, and the condition at the hotel are in a high quality in here. Simply, there is organized a very good atmosphere to play chess. Therefore, I would not to like to compare the organization of both tournaments. If I did not like Shamkir, I would not come here for the fifth time. I accept the invitation with a great pleasure every year."

Talking about his friend Vugar Hashimov, the Russian representative said that he had many great days with him: "Even when he lost the game, Vugar did not use to lose his positiveness. When I talked to him, I used to feel a positive enery from him. We have come across in several tournaments. Regardless of being my friend, I always tried to defeat him. Hashimov also used to fight as same as me. To be honest, I miss my friend.  His parties and debutes were always distinct from others. He never used to like having a rest. He used to engage in chess whole day."
